Department: Fixed Income Sales (Southern European clients)
Overview:
A leading global investment bank is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual for the role of Associate/VP in Flow Rates Sales, focusing on institutional clients in Southern Europe. This role, based in Frankfurt, involves delivering tailored fixed income solutions, particularly flow rates products, to a diverse set of institutional clients, including asset managers, hedge funds, and financial institutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fixed income markets, exceptional sales and client relationship skills, and a deep understanding of the needs of institutional clients in Southern Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Develops and maintains strong relationships with institutional clients in Southern Europe, understanding their fixed income needs and providing customized solutions.
- Sales Execution: Executes flow rates transactions, ensuring best execution practices and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Market Analysis: Monitors fixed income market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical events to provide informed advice and strategies to clients.
- Product Knowledge: Maintains an in-depth understanding of fixed income products and services, including government bonds, corporate bonds, interest rate swaps, and other rate products.
- Business Development: Identifies and pursues new business opportunities within the institutional client segment, contributing to the growth and profitability of the fixed income sales team.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Works closely with other teams, including research, trading, and compliance, to deliver comprehensive solutions and enhance client satisfaction.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensures all sales activities adhere to regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct.
- Reporting: Prepares regular reports on sales activities, client interactions, and market conditions for senior management.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3-7 years of experience in fixed income sales, preferably with a focus on flow rates products and institutional clients.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of fixed income markets, products, and trading strategies.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in financial market software and trading platforms.
- Languages: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in one or more Southern European languages is highly desirable.
