Our client a quant-driven technology and trading firm is in search of a highly skilled and experienced Senior Derivative Sales professional. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with a proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships within the asset management, hedge fund, and ultra-high net worth individual (UHNWI) segments. The ideal candidate will also possess a deep understanding of digital assets and their role in financial markets. As a Senior Derivative Sales, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding the client base, and delivering innovative derivative solutions to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to acquire new clients and expand business with existing clients in the asset management, hedge fund, and UHNWI segments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at asset management firms, hedge funds, and UHNWI clients, acting as a trusted advisor and providing tailored derivative solutions.
- Understand clients' investment objectives, risk appetite, and trading strategies to recommend suitable derivative products and strategies that align with their needs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including quant researchers, traders, and risk management teams, to develop innovative derivative products and strategies that cater to clients' requirements.
- Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory developments, and technological advancements in digital assets and their impact on derivative markets.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities and develop differentiated value propositions for clients.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, pitch books, and trade ideas to clients, showcasing the firm's derivative capabilities and value proposition.
- Negotiate and finalize derivative transactions, ensuring compliance with internal risk management policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and analyze client performance, portfolio positions, and market conditions to provide ongoing support and recommendations to optimize derivative strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless trade execution, trade settlement, and post-trade support for clients.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on sales performance, market trends, and client feedback.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are highly desirable.
- Substantial experience in derivative sales within the financial services industry, with a focus on asset managers, hedge funds, and UHNWI clients.
- Proven track record of success in building and managing client relationships, generating new business, and achieving revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of derivative products, including options, futures, swaps, and structured products, and their application in investment strategies.
- Knowledge of digital assets, including cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, and their role in financial markets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to clients and stakeholders.
- Strong network of contacts within the asset management, hedge fund, and UHNWI communities, with the ability to leverage relationships to drive business growth.
