My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Underwriting Production. This role involves driving business growth, managing key relationships with clients and partners, and leading a team that focuses on New Business.
Position: VP, Underwriting Production
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the binding team to pursue new business opportunities and expand existing programs.
- Manage client and partner relationships to ensure satisfaction and adherence to program administration agreements.
- Oversee underwriting processes, guidelines, and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and carrier standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key agents and brokers, striving to exceed customer expectations.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to direct reports, supporting them in defining and achieving common goals.
- Monitor premium and rate variance, participate in state pricing reviews, and contribute to budget planning and territory reviews.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Commercial Lines Underwriting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- CPCU or CIC designation is a plus.
