A top American Investment Bank is looking to hire a VP, Strategic & Transformation Risk Manager to join its Enterprise Risk team in New York. This team is responsible for developing and maintaining firm wide programs and processes, setting the risk appetite and risk limits, maintaining risk frameworks, managing new activity risk, and working on a number of strategic projects across the bank. This is a key role as the bank undergoes transformation and will offer exposure to multiple business lines, regulators, senior management, and interaction across all 3 lines of defense.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in Enterprise Risk, Operational Risk, or Strategy, the ability to communicate, partner with, and influence teams at all levels of the organization, and a project management/program management background would be a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic initiatives and projects to support the firm's risk appetite and risk limits
- Develop and maintain firm wide programs and processes, maintain risk frameworks, manage new activity risks, etc.
- Work closely with senior management and business stakeholders to ensure execution of key business initiatives
- Develop decks / presentations for meetings with senior management and the Board
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Operational Risk, Enterprise Risk, Technology Risk, Project Management, Program Management, or Strategy
- Excellent communicator with the ability to collaborate, partner and influence teams at all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
- Agile, Scrum, or JIRA would be a plus
