My client, one of the largest insurance providers in the country, is looking for a Voluntary Health Associate Actuary to join their Group Health and Supplemental Insurance team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing, managing, and leading projects that contribute to the success of the pricing insurance business.
Responsibilities:
Project Development and Management:
- Utilize accepted actuarial and statistical standards, methodologies, and knowledge to lead projects.
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance pricing, modeling, and product methodologies.
Collaboration with Senior Leadership:
- Work closely with other senior leaders and key business partners to align pricing strategies with overarching business goals.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
Complex Pricing and Modeling:
- Design and execute pricing, modeling, and product strategies of high complexity.
- Drive initiatives to enhance the competitiveness and profitability of our insurance business.
Team Leadership:
- Provide oversight for a team of analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Mentor and develop team members, ensuring continuous growth and skill enhancement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
- ASA Designation Required; FSA Designation Highly Preferred with a strong background in Accident & Health, Supplement/Voluntary Benefits
- Proven experience in pricing insurance business with a strong understanding of actuarial and statistical standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-complexity projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
