Key Responsibilities
- Develop trading strategy and tactics for the Asia region for the assigned product and actively participate in the planning process of the Annual Business Plan.
- Create and implement a strategic plan for assigned products exports identifying key suppliers, customer solutions, target markets/customers, and resources required.
- Accountable for annual sales/sourcing plan for the assigned product in Asia. And manage and monitor trading transactions to manage risk
- Lead Billets sourcing ex Asia and achieve minimum of 250.000Mt exports annually.
- Maintain / Develop relationships with steel mills and customers.
- Create synergies with other colleagues in all regions of Global Steel Trading team
- Follow-up orders and handle customers' enquiries.
- Flawless execution of contracts
- Minimize claims exposure.
Requirements
- Possess good knowledge of Asian and China markets and customers
- Strong market sense and quick responder to market changes
- University Graduate, major in international trade or relevant discipline.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in international trading, high level of relevant product knowledge and experience.
- Extension experience in China, Hong Kong/Asian markets.
- Knowledge and experience of import and export trade, understand International Trade practices and regulations; shipping terms, letter of credits and general trade terms
