My client, a global leading financial services organization in Amsterdam with a strong leadership team, is looking to make the hire of both Medior & Senior Legal Counsel contribute and advise on wide range of legal matters in relation to their activities around the globe. As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will:
- Be responsible for business legal matters related to various departments and global projects across the organization
- Report directly to Head of Legal and/or manage projects solely and/or as a team being a legal specialist in the field
- Ongoing observation and implementation of legal framework in international jurisdiction
- Negotiate, review and draft various type of contracts including implementation of legal decisions throughout specific departments of the business
- Manage external legal stakeholders, and discuss on legal matters independently and directly with the higher management of the organization
- Manage Financial Restructuring and Insolvency projects
- Implement new legal policies, manage products and services for consumer and corporate clients
As Senior Legal Counsel, you should have:
- Experienced as a (Senior) Legal Counsel in financial services sector and/or as a Lawyer in an international law firm; 3-5years experience for Mediors, 5-10years experience for Seniors
- Experienced in Dutch & EU law in the areas following;
- Banking & Financial Markets
- Financial Restructuring, Insolvency
- Litigation & Arbitration
- Lending
- Investment - Regulatory, Financial Supervisory Legislation
- Trade & Commodities Finance Transactions
- Capital Markets Law - DCM / ECM
- Loan Markets Agreement, Credit & Security documentation - assessment and negotiation of relevant legal documentation
- Business Fluent in Dutch and English (English fluent candidates considerable with min. 2years experience in the Netherlands, with previous experience in Banking / Investment at a international organization abroad)
