Senior Desktop Engineer | Top Hedge Fund | Boston, MA
One of the world's most elite Hedge Funds is known for generating more revenue per head on their lean teams than almost any other firm in the industry. They have a rare opportunity for an experienced Desktop Engineer to join the firm in a critical new role. This individual will join a team that supports this firm's most critical business users. They will also contribute to a massive migration to AWS, which is in early stages. There is significant opportunity for this role to impact this firm-wide modernization effort long term.
Your opportunity:
- Take end-to-end ownership of desktops and endpoints
- Manage existing endpoints and collaborate with wider team on improving existing deployment and management tools
- Design and implement automation solutions to reduce repetitive manual processes
- Maintain and troubleshoot Active Directory and Group Policy
- Deploy and maintain applications and desktop security
Qualifications:
- BS or equivalent degree
- 4+ years of experience as a similar role such as Support/Systems Engineer/Admin, Desktop Engineer, etc
- Hands-on experience with VMware, ideally Horizon
- Hands-on experience with SCCM, LANDesk, or Ivanti
