Job Description:
As a Senior Credit Underwriter, you will play a pivotal role in our organization, assessing and analyzing creditworthiness, risk, and financial data to make informed credit decisions. You will be responsible for evaluating loan applications, assessing risk profiles, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory guidelines. Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate credit exposures independently, which includes conducting balance sheet analyses and assigning ratings for both new and existing customers in the D-A-CH region while ensuring adherence to internal and external regulations.
- Render credit decisions for loan and leasing applications within one's own credit authority and contribute to the preparation and decision-making process for higher-level authorities.
- Independently manage personal resubmissions and daily workflow processes.
- Act as a knowledgeable point of contact for our business partners, customers, and colleagues, both nationally and internationally.
- Execute reporting duties and participate in administrative tasks such as Basel compliance.
- Enroll in internal training programs to enhance professional development.
- Collaborate with the credit manager on national and international project initiatives.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for optimizing processes and activities within the defined scope of responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in credit underwriting or similar roles.
- Proficiency in German and English for effective communication and documentation.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory guidelines and compliance requirements.
