As the Senior Manager of Compliance, your primary responsibility will be to aid to the company and its subsidiaries' management in fostering a culture that prioritizes compliance and integrity. Your role is crucial in ensuring that the organization adheres to all relevant laws and regulations. Emphasizing and enhancing compliance and risk awareness concerning the integrity and control of business operations will be a top priority in this position.
The Role:
- Your role entails enhancing the compliance framework within the company, as well as ensuring the effective operation of the compliance cycle.
- You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the compliance risk management system.
- Monitoring (European) regulatory laws and regulations, as well as guidelines from relevant regulators that could impact the business and license, will be a crucial aspect of your job. You will provide advice to both the board and employees in this regard and oversee the implementation of necessary changes.
- Acting as a sparring partner for the business management, you will collaborate to align the services and products with existing and forthcoming laws and regulations.
- Your expertise will extend to advising on integrity-related policies and procedures. When necessary or appropriate, you will also draft policies and procedures, always ensuring they align well with the company operational practices.
- You will engage in discussions with investors on pertinent compliance topics and, through presentations, provide insight into the compliance framework during due diligence processes.
The candidate:
- We are seeking an experienced professional with a HBO+/WO work and thinking level, backed by a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience, ideally gained in the financial sector.
- Your expertise should encompass integrity and behavioral supervision, with a strong emphasis on putting customer interests first. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as Wft, Wwft, Bgfo, AFM Guidelines, AVG, and others is essential.
- Your understanding of key product and technological developments in the mortgage market is important for this role.
- You should have prior experience in establishing and maintaining a comprehensive compliance framework and compliance cycle to effectively manage compliance risks, including integrity risks.
- Beyond compliance advisory, we expect you to be taking a leadership role, and engaging with the business stakeholders.
- Your communication skills, both written and verbal, must be excellent in both Dutch and English.
