Summary
One of the largest privately owned wholesale brokers is seeking an experienced underwriter to fill a senior level vacancy. The role has considerable responsibility within its growing team, with many opportunities for career growth and advancement as well. This position can be fully remote out of New England.
Responsibilities
- Increase new and renewal business for commercial lines
- Rate, quote and bind each risk to assess acceptability, coverage & pricing for large or complex renewals & new business
- Create and submit underwriting referrals
- Lead and mentor Assistant Underwriters
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
- Must have a minimum 3 years experience in Wholesale underwriting
- Strength in marketing and sales skills is essential
- Insurance license, CPCU or CIC preferred
- Required to be in New England territory - location to be covered
