We have a current opportunity for a Senior Actuarial Analyst / Associate Actuary on a permanent basis. The position will be Remote. For further information about this position please apply.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various departments to align business strategies with actuarial insights and analytics.
- Produce loss reserves in coordination with underwriting and claims teams, discussing results with senior leadership.
- Conduct complex actuarial analyses to monitor profitability, creating detailed reports.
- Stay updated on industry trends, analyze claim metrics, and communicate insights to underwriting and claims management.
- Assist in financial planning, including premium, loss ratio, and expense projections.
- Manage reinsurance and catastrophe concentrations, providing economic perspectives on reinsurance options.
- Contribute to finding new opportunities, building pricing models, and analyzing performance.
- Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Predictive Modeling teams.
Qualifications:
Must Haves:
- Minimum six years of actuarial experience, having passed at least five actuarial exams.
- Proficiency in actuarial procedures, including pricing, reserving, and modeling.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to build trust.
- Independent and collaborative work capabilities, excellent communication skills.
- Results-oriented mindset and ability to gain respect within the industry and community.
- Authorization to work in the United States without requiring future VISA sponsorship.
Preferred:
- Eight years of actuarial experience.
- Pursuing Fellowship with the Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society.
- Experience in Homeowners, Property, and catastrophe modeling.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python, familiarity with industry sources like Verisk and S&P
