Position: Private Equity Associate
Location: Stamford, CT
Opportunity:
The firm is seeking an Associate to join their Private Equity Investment team to work within the Portfolio Operations Group. This individual will gain experience across a wide range of businesses and, and will receive in-depth exposure to analyzing, executing, and managing investments.
Responsibilities:
They are seeking an Investment Associate with strong analytical skills and a self-starter mindset. The Associate will, among other things:
- Work with portfolio company management teams to drive meaningful value through operational improvements and strategic initiatives
- Interpret complex data to build analyses and models
- Review add-on investment opportunities and prepare analysis and memos for discussion with the Investment Committee
- Develop and manage financial models and analyses for prospective acquisitions
- Assist in the transaction diligence and underwriting process
Requirements:
- One to five years of Investment Banking, Private Equity or Consulting experience
- Excellent academic credentials
- Strong accounting, finance, modeling, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly developed sense of responsibility, initiative and attention to detail
- Strong intellectual curiosity and values professional development
- Ability to work as a member of a small team handling a wide range of responsibilities
- Experience evaluating and working with companies in the industrial, manufacturing, and/or business services sector is a plus
- In-office, Stamford and NYC, with 25-30% travel, both domestic and international
