A well-recognized middle market Private Equity firm is looking to add an Associate to their team this Summer. In this role you will play a pivotal role in helping deploy a new $250 million fund within the industrial, business services, technology, and electric & gas sectors. This role also offers the opportunity to join a highly active team while gaining a tremendous amount of exposure to the deal execution process - as well as carrying out the firm's overall strategic objectives. Additionally, you will have the chance to be very involved operationally with portfolio companies as Associates at this firm often have a seat in board meetings and are asked to help with development of growth strategy. Overall, this positions grants a well-rounded investing experience with a talented group of experienced professionals.
The Private Equity Associate will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the Structuring and Negotiations of the acquisitions and disposition of numerous investment targets
- Taking point on the due diligence process
- Creating research-based industry reports to identify attractive areas of investment opportunity and competitive analysis
- Evaluate and monitor the ongoing performance of portfolio company investments
- Work closely with management teams of portfolio companies on execution of growth strategy
The Private Equity Associate should have the following qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of Investment Banking experience performing M&A with a reputable middle market bank
- Previous experience or interest in the healthcare, consumer, aerospace & defense, and industrial sectors
- Bachelor's Degree from a top university or a minimum of a 3.6 GPA
- Exceptional modeling and analytical skills
