A top American Investment Bank is looking to hire an Operational Risk Manager to their Global Markets line of business, focusing specifically on Automated Trading. This role will sit in New York and this person will be responsible for oversight of Operational Risk frameworks, challenging the 1st line to ensure adherence to policies and procedures, conducting RCSAs and Scenario Analysis, and working closely with senior management.
The ideal candidate will be an SME in Automated Trading, have 7+ years of experience in Risk Management, a strong understanding of market access rules such as SEC Rule 15c3-5 and MiFID II RTS-6, and an excellent communicator with executive level presence.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd line oversight of Operational Risk frameworks, specifically focused on Automated Trading
- Work with the 1st line to develop and monitor metrics to quantify exposure to various types of risk
- Conduct RCSAs, scenario analysis, and review/evaluate new business initiatives
- Lead MiFID II RTS-6 assessments
- Work closely with senior management and key stakeholders
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in Operational or Enterprise Risk Management
- SME in Automated Trading
- Strong understanding of market access rules, specifically SEC Rule 15c3-5 and MiFID II RTS-6
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with / influence senior stakeholders
