Selby Jennings is working with a multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund. They focuse on global investment strategies including Global Credit, Global Convertible, Volatility & Capital Structure Arbitrage, Event-Driven Investing, Equity Long/Short & Capital Markets Trading, and Global Quantitative Trading.
We are seeking a Lead API Developer who would be in charge of developing and delivering API's for various systems across the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Implement a API management/delivery middleware after evaluating available solutions in the market.
- Establish firmwide authentication and authorization for applications to offer their APIs, and use APIs offered by other applications.
- Develop best practices and patterns to move data securely and safely between systems over APIs.
- Implement APIs for select applications, and help other developers/teams in implement their APIs.
- Provide a common API Documentation facility, and document the APIs being developed
Qualifications:
- 10 years' experience in developing and delivering APIs
- Experience with developing APIs for Java, Python, and C#/.Net based systems
- Experience with cloud based deployment of API management solutions
- Experience with API documentation systems like Swagger
