We have a current representing an exciting alternative asset manager who specialise in emerging market equity investing. They are looking to add a Junior Operations Analyst to their team here in London.
Requirements
- University honours degree, in related scientific, mathematics, or engineering backgrounds, as these are more likely to meet expectations in respect of problem solving and data analysis.
- Having IMC already is beneficial but will also be supported by the firm to complete.
- 1-2 years experience working in a Operations function at either a Bank, Hedge Fund or Asset Manager.
- Must have confidence working with Microsoft products, including advanced Excel with VBA.
- Experience of a programming language is required, Python is preferred.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, with a strong aptitude for numbers and problem solving.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Eligibility to work indefinitely in the UK without restrictions.
Role
- Oversight of trade settlement.
- Trade reconciliation, working with trading counterparties to resolve discrepancies.
- Cash management analysis for trading and settlement.
- Running performance attribution and risk reporting.
- Counterparty and custodian relationship management.
- Performance and attribution reporting to support the Marketing & Client Services Team.
- Validate daily, weekly and monthly portfolio performance estimates.
- Review and reconciliation of month-end NAV figures produced by fund administrators and client custodians.
- Responding to queries from and providing support as required to fund auditors and fiduciaries.
