Summary: A leading middle market Investment Bank is looking for a strong MD to lead their Healthcare IT practice. You will play an integral role with a well established platform as they continue to build out their presence in the space. The compensation structure is very generous, and the firm prides itself on its strong culture evidenced by senior members of the firm who have been there since the inception of their careers. Ideally, an MD would be able to leverage their own book of business and past experiences to generate revenue for the firm. This role can be based out of NYC or Boston.
Responsibilities:
- Actively pursue business development opportunities and market the firm M&A expertise (sell side and buy-side) to prospective clients;
- Create and manage new deal flow and originate new client engagements
- Lead on a variety of transactions in Healthcare IT from client sourcing, initial pitch, M&A process, valuation analyses, due diligence, negotiations, and transaction closing;
- Communicate industry, regulatory, financial information and complex strategic issues in a clear, concise and relevant manner to assist and guide decision-makers in corporate finance transactions;
- Oversee preparation and delivery of presentations;
- Develop and maintain relationships with key business leaders, intermediaries and Private Equity firms to identify new opportunities for advisory assignments;
- Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies;
- Participate in key industry conferences, speaking opportunities, media interviews, and marketing efforts to generate exposure and promote the firm;
Qualifications:
- A proven track record in the Healthcare IT space
- At least 10 years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital, or Growth Equity
- A book of business that can be leveraged to generate deal flow and revenue for the firm
- Experience leading, coaching and mentoring direct reports
