Key Responsibilities
- Identify and assess compliance risks by thoroughly reviewing business processes, activities, systems, and changes.
- Monitor and investigate potential instances of market abuse, including Insider Dealing, Unlawful Disclosure, Market Manipulation, or Anti-Competitive Conduct.
- Conduct investigations into compliance breaches, overseeing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Implement compliance policies that align with regulatory requirements and international standards.
- Collaborate with the 1st Line of Defense, legal teams, other compliance functions, and risk management to support a holistic approach to risk management.
- Provide strategic advice to key stakeholders, including senior management, on both functional and cross-functional impacts.
- Support governance by managing and mitigating risks through detailed assessments.
- Lead efforts to strengthen risk management and control frameworks.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives through strong negotiation and influencing skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong background and knowledge of Compliance and Financial Crime
- Deep understanding of the European financial regulatory landscape and Dutch Financial Law
- Skilled in risk and controls, change and transformation management, and strategic thinking
- Experience with local and international regulators
- Fluent in Dutch
- 7+ years of relevant experience - experience in banking being an asset
