Summary: This job presents an exciting opportunity to join a well-established physical major in the oil and energy sector. The client is looking for a hardworking and proactive individual to join their risk function as a Credit Risk Analyst, specialising in a wide spectrum of commodities (Oil, Gas, Power, LNG, etc.). You will be expected to work alongside the Traders, Market Risk, Tech and the Quant teams, analysing the businesses` portfolios.
Responsibilities:
- Dealing primarily with counter-parties assessments (periodic and ad-hoc), compliance checks, control credit status etc.
- You will report directly to the Head of Credit Risk, however, the company operates on a fairly flat structure
- Recommend changes in credit limits/approval status for senior management approval
- Monitor counter-party exposure and control credit status of approved counter-party
- Maintain consistent and thorough counter-party records
- Manage credit collateral
Requirements:
- A degree in highly numerical subjects such as Mathematics, Economics or Finance (not limited to)
- An experience with credit risk management in commodity trading house, bank or other financial institution.
- understanding of multiple energy markets, in particular Europe and Asia.
