Summary: This job presents an exciting opportunity to join a well-established multinational physical major in the energy and gas sector. The client is looking for a hardworking and proactive individual to join their risk function as a Credit Risk Analyst, responsible for the management of all aspects of the credit risk life-cycle. You will be expected to work alongside the traders, market risk, tech and the quant teams, analyzing the businesses` energy portfolios.
Responsibilities:
- You will be researching, analysing and monitoring trading counterparts and making sure they are in compliance with groups Credit Policy and Set Credit Limits
- You will be negotiating and structuring credit support arrangements
- You will monitor daily excess positions and late settlement payments
- You will be monitoring and reporting credit exposures and events
- You will deal with Energy documentation (GTCs, EFET Master Agreements, ISDA etc.) and credit support documents (Letters of Credit, Parent Company Guarantees etc)
Requirements:
- A degree in highly numerical subjects (Finance, Accounting, Business) or equivalent professional qualification
- experience in a credit or financial analyst role gained within a commodity trading environment or financial institution
