Technical Expert for Internal Financial Services Tool
Small, fast-paced team seeks a technical expert to develop an innovative investment analysis tool from the ground up. The successful candidate will work on a C++/Qt back-end interfaced with a SQL database to calculate value and performance of client portfolios.
Responsibilities:
- Write clean, well-documented code and train the growing team
- Identify process improvements and drive continuous enhancements
- Opportunities to expand scope, including website development, integration, and API creation
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in C++17/C++20, STL, and automated unit testing
- Experience with Qt for UI development
- Profiling tools (Valgrind or similar)
- SQL expertise in DML, security, and concurrency
- Knowledge of XML schema and Office OpenXML
Preferred Skills:
- Design pattern experience
- Familiarity with financial services calculations, equities workflows, and risk management
