Job Title: Senior Associate, Private Credit Asset-Backed Finance (ABF)
Location: Connecticut
Compensation: $400,000 - $500,000 (aligned with experience and output)
About the Firm: Our client is a growing PE firm, building a credit business, offering a unique opportunity to join their team early and contribute to building their Private Credit ABF division from the ground up. Their focus is broad but has as slight focus on asset heavy, fintech and consumer lending.
Position Overview: Our client is seeking a Senior Associate with buyside experience to join their Private Credit ABF team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fintech and consumer lending, familiarity with legal documentation, and the ability to discuss deals in detail. This role offers the chance to work closely with senior leadership and make a significant impact on the growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate investment opportunities in ABF and consumer lending sectors.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investments, including financial analysis and market research.
- Structure and negotiate deal terms, ensuring alignment with the firm's investment strategy.
- Monitor and manage portfolio investments, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Collaborate with legal teams to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and documentation requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, borrowers, and industry experts.
- Contribute to the development of investment strategies and processes within the ABF team.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in private credit or related fields, with a focus on ABF, fintech and consumer lending.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in private credit investments.
- Familiarity with legal documentation related to credit investments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex deals clearly.
- Proven track record of successful deal execution and portfolio management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.

- Experience in buyside roles
