Operations Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Daily reconciliation of internal data to external parties via position, trades, cash, NAV, and fees
  • Assisting in the automation of daily task and procedures
  • Prematching of trades and fails management for various markets
  • Supporting clearing and settlement processes across asset classes: Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives, FX, Commodities, and Crypto
  • EOD trade processing and reporting of daily PnL for various markets
  • Investigation of breaks raised by trading desks, other departments, and counterparties
  • Maintaining and navigating data such as security master within our systems to help minimize and investigate breaks
  • Maintain relationships with brokers to fix daily breaks, while continually improving processes long term
  • Liasing with external software vendors to troubleshoot current processes and propose improvements
  • Ability to identify areas of improvement, scope requirements and assist in implementation of automation
  • Ability to work with global teams and facilitate handovers

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, or other related fields
  • 5+ years of experience working in trading operations or dev operations within financial services
  • Interest in post trade infrastructure
  • High level MS Excel knowledge is a must: Comfortable with Look-ups, Pivot Tables, and Conditional Statements
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Aptitude and desire to learn new things and quickly adapt
  • Fundamental awareness of global markets
  • Buy Side experience is a plus, knowledge of fee/commission landscape a plus
  • Task Management via tracking software such as JIRA is a plus
  • Desire for fast-paced environment and "to wear multiple hats"
